I LOVE PLANTS
Wow, welcome welcome to my beautiful world of gardening, plants and growth.
I inherited a green thumb from my mom and a long line of Azorean farmers and ancestors who worked with the land. Growing things is a hobby, passion, and part of my identity.
When I lived in the city, I somehow accumulated more than 90 houseplants. While I've had to scale back during this transitional chapter of life, I've gained something even better: the opportunity to help renovate, restore, and expand my parent's garden at home.
You'll find plants rooted throughout my life. All but one of my tattoos contain some sort of plant, flower, vine, or tree. I'm fascinated by the wisdom found in nature and the lessons within its cycles.
Gardening has taught me that growth isn't just about adding more. It also requires pruning. Sometimes it requires cutting things back, letting seasons end, creating space, and trusting that new life will emerge. There is so much energy we can pour back into ourselves and lives when we have the strength to cut what we no longer need to hold onto.
