Sports, fitness, and gym life have always been here.
I played enough lacrosse that I could have gone D2 (very much a big fish, small pond situation). I loved volleyball too, but my ego insisted on being a front-row hitter. The problem? I was the shortest front-row hitter on my team at 5'9". The girls next to me were 6'0", 6'2", and 6'7". Looking back, I should have been a setter.
I also spent years in synchronized swimming because my parents thought fewer boys and fewer injuries sounded great. Oh, and the college application potential? Incredible.
After leaving organized sports, I became obsessed with training for bikini fitness competitions in college. At the time, what looked like discipline was for sure a glorified addiction.
These days, I have the kind of relationship with fitness and my body that younger me wouldn't believe could exist. I love being in my body and still love lifting and challenging myself, but now it comes from appreciation rather than punishment. And having a great playlist or SoundCloud mix during a workout? Boom goes the dynamite.

I can't wait to build and have a sauna. wowwowwow.
